At the heart of the tiny hamlet, Kothanalloor in central Kerala is Emmanuel's
Higher Secondary School, conceived in its seminal form as Emmanuel's
Vernacular School, Mudappa. It was founded by the well-respected visionary Rev.
Fr. Mani Mundattuchunda and started functioning on 27th June, 1919, under the
stewardship of Sri. A. R. Narayana Pillai. Since then, Emmanuel's School has
been standing out as a paragon of excellence in knowledge delivery for the past
100 years. This school is said to cast a magical charm on every student, who
chooses to enter its humble walls. There is no doubt that the school has drawn
immensely the grace of the twin saints- Gervasis and Prothasis of Kothanalloor
Forane Church.
